Wilco invests in eight Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106 presses
Wilco BV in Amersfoort, specialised in the production of books and magazines, has invested in no less than eight new Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106 printing presses, all equipped with "Push-to-stop" technology.
Even though the machine park is already very modern, the experiences with the Heidelberg Speedmaster XL106 eight-colour '2020 Generation' that was delivered last year were so positive that the decision was made to upgrade the entire machine park in Amersfoort to this new generation.
The use and integration of intelligent "assistants" has resulted in an unparalleled level of efficiency and productivity. Thanks to the "Push-to-stop" technology, the operators are freed up to a large extent so that they are able to concentrate on optimising output. The almost fully autonomous printing press enables the process to run as optimally as possible, so that the performance and print quality are less dependent on the operator.
The investment entails three Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106-2-P printing presses, one Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106-4-P printing press, one Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106-8-P+L printing press and three Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106-8-P printing presses, one of which is equipped with UV LED.
